And then I noticed.. ….the way he hunches. ….the way his fingers fidget. ….he’s just that kid from Brooklyn; all alone in the 21st Century :( There’s not a single trace of Captain America in him and that broke my heart into million pieces </3 and anyone else notice that everyone else on the train is on their phones? Even that old lady in the corner. Everyone else has someone to talk to. to call or text. Steve has one person. But he doesn’t know if a phone call from him would be welcome. Peggy’s retired and living in Britain. She’s probably moved on with her life and she’s probably old. She doesn’t need Steve digging up the past where all they could really talk about is the war and the friends that they lost. Peggy’s probably had a good and happy life. Steve doesn’t want to bring up unhappy memories. So he won’t call her. They say his body could withstand almost anything. But that doesn’t mean his mind could.   NOPE. FUCKING NOPE. Heart?
